2nd Annual Evanston Youth Lacrosse Outing is nearly upon us!
Chicago Machine 2008 season opener vs the San Francisco Dragons at Toyota Park
Folks, this is lacrosse at it's very best.
Date: Sunday, May 18
Place: Toyota Park, Bridgeview
Time: Game time 3:30, Leave Evanston no later than 2:30 (leaves a little time for kids to participate in all the "stuff" that goes on around the event).
For this group outing, Wolfpack Lacrosse offers our community special discounted tickets:
$5 for kids $10 for adults - proceeds will go to our Evanston Youth Lacrosse Association.
I DO expect a parking fee at Toyota park. For this and generally green reasons, we all should begin to discuss car pooling with known teammates, friends etc.
Please RSVP to me (reply to this email is perfect) as soon as you can, then purchase tickets from me or any of my helpers at games this weekend and/or especially at our Day of Lacrosse at ETHS on May 17th. Also let me know your carpool capacity and I'll again try to be a bit of a clearing house for seats and those in need of a ride.
Wolfpack games on May 18th: Lightning, Junior A, and Junior B games are ALL scheduled for 12:00PM (thanks to Gary @ Lacrosse America), which leaves some time for our guys to clean up and then gather our carpools together for the ride to Toyota Park. The Junior A game is at Hinsdale (vs Glen Ellen A) so they might want to consider perhaps gathering out west for lunch or something before heading directly to Toyota park.
There will be special Evanston Wolfpack Lacrosse recognition by the Machine that day, last year this included: a great group picture in the stands (here attached), a Welcome Message on the big Diamond Vision screen, and more. Outside of the game there are several activities, like shot speed radar guns and other fun stuff - bring your sticks!.
Our guys should wear their Game jerseys! - even they ARE a little ripe, it will make for a great group picture.
Go Wolfpack, Go Machine,
Coach Mayne
